I've narrowed down the shooting mechanics for Boss Tower. The player can shoot three different types of shots, each effecting enemies differently. It provides for some replayability and adds a small puzzle element to each boss fight.
Outbreak Prototype 2 Progress
Thanks to tons of play testing, I've found a few areas where I can improve the design. While the core mechanic of managing a hoard of zombies is exciting, getting attack two or three times before your next turn is annoying. To solve both of these issues, I'm separating Broadcasts, Zombies Attack, and Outbreak cards into a deck that has a card flipped once per round, rather than once per turn. Hopefully, this will make the experience better for all players and keep zombies to attacking only once each round. Though to keep up the game pace I either need to reduce the survivor's Hp again or provide more ways for players to damage each other. I like the latter idea better.
